Welcome To My Ragdoll Kitten Care Blog!
At Ragdoll Kitten For Sale, I am dedicated to providing you with expert advice on how to care for your new fluffy friend. Whether you are a new kitten owner or a seasoned cat lover, our blog is here to help you navigate the wonderful world of ragdoll kitten care.
THE FIRST FEW DAYS – IMPORTANT
When the kitten(s) first arrive at their new homes, they will be frightened. They have been removed from their home and their mum. Give them some time to get used to their new surroundings and environment, which will be quicker if you allow the kitten(s) some time to settle in.
Do not force yourself upon the kitten(s) as they will try to hide themselves. They will be friends with you when they’re ready.
To start off, try and show your kitten(s) where their food, water and litter tray are so they know. Slowly after, introduce another room until they are aware of the home. Do not rush it as your kitten(s) may hide and have accidents. Take it one room at a time.
If you have animals, you could give the kitten(s) a bath to get the old smells off – baby bath or baby shampoo works fine. Make sure to dry completely and brush your kitten(s) afterwards so they’re not cold and matted. This can also help them to get used to having baths every so often if you continue this.
Litter Tray
Your kitten has been trained to use the litter tray (also Puramax litter robot.)
You may have the odd accident whereby they fail using the litter tray as your kitten may be nervous on arrival. If an accident occurs, clean up the mess and place the kitten in the litter tray. They will understand sooner or later.

Food
The kitten(s) have been fed wet food every morning and evening from 08:00 – 8:30 and 17:30 – 18:00 I use Untamed wet food and Wild Freedom and Applaws Kitten nibble.
I use one large tablespoon every morning and evening.
As your kitten grows, you can add more.
I’ve also added Smilla Kitten Paste, it is great for development, growth and boosting the immune system.
I’ve only put just half an inch in length with every meal as well as Antiforte Premium Colostrum.
Applaws Kitten grain-free and Wild Freedom nibble food is available for the kitten(s) 24/7.
This biscuit/nibble should always be available with fresh and clean water daily.
After a year, you must slowly take the kitten food away from him/her and introduce the adult range.
It is important that you continue to feed your new kitten(s) the same food. If you do decide to change their food, which I do not recommend – you should slowly introduce the new food to avoid an upset stomach over a period of 10-14 days (about 2 weeks).
You can buy all of your food from BITIBA or ZooPlus.
Do NOT give your kitten cow's milk!
Shedding Fur
It is important to remove all old and loose fur in shed season, which is normally around spring and autumn.
The best tool to use is the “Pecute Cat Brush Double Sided Blade” to remove undercoat purchasable from Amazon.
If you’re uncertain on how to do it, you can go on YouTube and some videos can show you how to do it.
Safety
It is especially important to ensure the safety of your ragdoll, all windows and doors need to have safety locks that only open slightly, or you can have netting filled to any window or door that is opened for fresh air.
Never allow them to roam free, they are strictly indoor cats and are only allowed to go outside if your garden is escape proof.
You will be amazed by how small a hole your cat can fit through to try and escape, or it can be bad as a stray cat was able to gain access to your garden.
Worm and Flea treatment
Your kitten has been given 2 months of worm medication and 30 days (about 4 and a half weeks) flea protection.
I would suggest taking your kitten(s) to the vets within the days to ensure they receive a regular medical check-up, monthly flea treatment, 3 monthly worm treatments as well as their annual booster vaccination.
